2000 Journey 36GL Dash A/C Probllem

My 2000 journey 36'GL blows cold air from the ceiling, but warm air from the dashboard. Any thoughts about this?

Your ceiling vents are from the onboard Air Conditioning, presumably a basement unit in a 2000 Journey.

The Dashboard vents are supplied entirely from an automotive style A/C system powered by your engine.

Two totally different and totally separate systems.

The most common cause of warm air from dash vents is the shutoff valve for the heater core is not completely closing when air conditioning is selected. That is the first thing to check.
Next is to look closely at your air conditioning compressor on your drive engine, if the pulley clutch on the front is not turning the compressor is not turning. (center of rotating belt pulley)

To troubleshoot your dash air conditioner, this might be helpful.
