Hi, We purchased a 2005 Vectra in June and it has been plugged into 50 amp shore power. The power management panel has been showing the 50 amp light until two days ago....woke up the other day and the 30 amp light was lit and the load meter was on.
I have power to all systems and tried different loads and have'nt tripped anything. It seems like I still have 50 amp service....could it be a problem with the panel? Called service at the dealer and they were'nt much help.... Don't get it...Merry Christmas...2 inches of snow this morning in Boulder City, NV

You have PMS? Don't worry, it will pass (Sorry couldn't resist, think it is called EMS)
Perhaps one pole of the 50 amp breaker is tripped? Try shutting off then back on the breaker where your power is hooked up.
On my EMS (2004) it does not work on 50 amps, only 30 or less.

That happened to my '05 Journey. They replaced the circuit board behind the A. C. breaker panel. It only took a year for them to accomplish this.

I have noticed in the past on my coach that if I plug into 50 amps with my hot water heater breaker off, the EMS will show 30 amps. Flipping the water heater breaker on will set the EMS to 50 amps.
PS: I sent you a PM.

We have a 2005 Vectra and had the same problem. The EMS circuit board needed replaced. Apparently this has happened quite a lot. The dealer we worked with had to order it for us. However, they received the wrong one, so they took one out of a Journey they had on the lot to replace ours. It takes about 20 min. or less for the replacement. Cost of board is high, over $200.

Thanks for the responses guys...I have another issue to take care with the dealer after the holidays and I'll just add it to the list. I'll still under the 12 month warranty until next June...sounds like that EMS board that Motorhome05 had go bad might be my problem.

I am wondering and guessing that these are different than on the Sightseer, on mine I press a button to select what power source I am hooked up to, 20 or 30 but on the GenSet it will read 50... is the the normal setup?

???????
Excess labor?
That sounds like a dealer made $70 off of you that he probably isn't entitled to.
Our EMS board didn't survive a lightning strike this past summer. Had to replace it, the display board, the display board for the tank levels and a couple of other things. Did the work myself. Hear about a lot of them failing. Bad design?

Thanks PHESPE...I'm bringing it in next week for another problem. It's got to be the board.
My thanks to all others that responded
