2016 View 24 G - Water filter cartridge

Recently purchased 2016 View 24G. The winter plug was installed in the under counter water filtration. RV dealer sold me wrong cartridge and had to return it. Emailed Winnebago and they did not give me type or part # for the correct water filtration cartridge. Only that they had it in stock and would sell it to me for $91.00. Can anyone tell me what type water cartridge I need for the View. Thank you. Michael

In this case, I might go a different route and ask sellers like Etrailer. com for a cross reference item like Camco. The $91 appears to be for the entire assembly, not just the filter. 160946-03-000 is the Winn number for the whole but all you need is the cartridge.

Water Filter cartridge update

Contacted parts department where I bought the rig. They checked with Winnebago and told me Pentair 9592-06. I ordered it, but it is wrong.
Contacted Winnebago customer service and they told me 3 M US A-1.
Cannot locate this filter, so I called 3M customer service. Talked to one of their representatives and they told me replacement filter for US A-1 is
C-Cyst-FF. I ordered that from Filter Fast for $60. That confirms what Seymour indicated in his post. So I think I am on the right track. Thanks for your help guys.

You are welcome. I went through a similar hunt before finding the right one. I thought I was good to go because the coach came with a spare filter but when I went to change it~ wrong one!
I also write the install date on the filter and change it at least yearly though we don't even drink the filtered coach water as we use a Travel Berkey for drinking water. Regards, Mike

Also wanted to add that I remove the filter and install the bypass plug ~before~ semi-annually sanitizing the water system. Regards, Mike

Our 21VD came with a Culligan water filtration system. Winnebago provides a D20-A (which can be purchased at many places).

We decided to upgrade to a better filter - D30-A. It filters a lot more out of the water at the kitchen sink. The trade-off is less flow for cold water - which we accepted in exchange for cleaning drinkable water out of the kitchen faucet.

That is too bad as the Pentair/Everpure should support Super Chlorination of the fresh water tank and then DeChlorination at the tap since the stock Everpure Cartridge Winnebago used for years was the one designed for this purpose by having the capacity to remove much more chlorine at the tap than most other filters. Its used in many restaurant coffee and beverage machines too since it allows for a chlorine injection system to be used to increase the level of sanitation in beverage system water feeds while eliminating those extreme levels of chlorine in the final process.

There is a reason that the Pentair/Everpure cartridges that provide this cost a bit much however after having used them for years they are my preferred filters.
