1974 Travel Trailer

Posted 10-12-2020 at 05:18 PM by Van

I got the bond for my bonded title issued by State Farm. Now I will send it to the state with my title application.

Today I got the fittings I needed to hook up the propane tank and block off the line where the stove used to be. I decided I want the space where the stove and oven was. I might get a small microwave and put it somewhere in the camper.

I tested the heater after that. It is a Duo Therm model 65210-4, 6300 BTU heater. It is a very simple heater that has no fan or electrical components. My last trailer had one similar to that. It works! The cover for the pilot light is missing, but I can fabricate something. The studs that hold it on are still there. There is lots of weird hardware stored in a cabinet from the previous owner. Maybe I can find it.

I am trying to locate a manual for the heater, even though I don't think I actually need it. I will install a CO2 detector and perhaps a propane leak detector too.
