Keeping our Navion cool and warm

Posted 08-02-2020 at 06:53 PM by Lefler39

We have replaced the factory drapes (over and across the bunk) with thermal blackout drapes in length @ 84". The factory drape just covered the bunk area for privacy. They offered No heat Cab Heat transfer protection to the Cabin living area living an opening to the driver and passenger seats.

TEST
Today, it is 100 degrees outside, A/C is set at 78 degrees and the Front cab transfer heat approximately 110 degree (F) within the cabin.

DRAPE REPLACEMENT ASSEMBLAGE
We took off one half of the existing drape ceiling track and remove the factory curtains. We trimmed off the excess existing drape material just leaving only the swatch connectors and 3" of material to re-hang. We attached this cut drape track connector piece with Velcro. The Thermal drape got the 2nd half of the Velcro.

Benefit:
These new privacy Thermal drapes hang from existing ceiling track 1" from the floor and across the entire Cabin area sealing off the Cab completely. The A/C provides and operates more efficiently with a consistent temperature within the living Cabin area of our 24V Navion.
