As you can see power passes THROUGH the inverter all the time. Even if you are on shore power.....

Circuit breaker is most likely 15 amp, and you do not loose all 120 volt, only the outlets powered by the inverter.

Turn the toaster upside down, (Note, do this outside please so the crumbs fall...
