You could disconnect the warning bell although I would be reluctant to do that.
Like I said in an earlier post, my jacks will get about two inches of full retraction and that's when I take off....

Are your jacks slow in cold weather and faster in warmer weather ? If so, HWH sells a thinner hydraulic oil that might be of help.
