The panel doesn't seem to be loose so it doesn't look as if it is an oversight on just our unit. I'm thinking it must be glued into place. Perhaps it was only on a certain run that they used glue...

hmmm, no, we see no screws through either the top or bottom molding. :confused:

We saw no other way to access that switch other than to remove the bezel and unscrew the plate that the switch fits...

Just a slight clarification on what you described as we just changed ours too. The "bezel" is actually the wrong terminology as what you were describing...
