Information center help
DW and I just upgraded our RV. Have an '11 Journey 34Y now, Freightliner chassis. Have had a few issues, as you might expect with a new coach. Drove it about 2,600 miles from Iowa to home. One (one of many) things I haven't figured out, is how to reset the drivers information center for trip mileage, and generator hours, etc.
I have the book, and the diagram is like a flow chart, that doesn't make sense to me.
I was looking for how to have something like trip miles, that most vehicles have these days.
Also I can't figure out how to have it pick up the generator hours. In the back of the coach, it is keeping up with the hours, but at the driver's seat, it still shows the hours it had when we picked it up.
Any ideas?
Thanks!!!

Going from memory, trip miles are set by scrolling to the trip miles display, then holding the knob to the right. I haven't reset mine in a while, so this may not be right.
I have no clue on the generator hours. Mine has not updated after a year.

I believe you first hold it to the left for a few seconds until the display asks if you want to "resets." Then you hold it to the right until it resets.
The flow chart that is in the manual is not the easiest to understand, but if you just take one item at a time and push the buttons, it should come to you a little more easily. If you try to use the flow chart by studying it, then trying to activate a reset, it can become confusing.

On my 09 Destination, I was told that Winnebago (or Freightliner) did not connect the generator hours meter to the Information Center. Same as the compass and outside temperature are not connected to the Information Center.

Well I worked with it for a while today, sat there with the book in hand, and I am thinking it is not working correctly. I can't even set the time... The holding the button to the right is not getting me to a screen to reset things.
Is there a reset/restart button somewhere? I tried ignition off and back on.
Thanks,
Dan

Gen hours dont update on the computer but they are available at the "One Place" as well as on the generator itself.
Mileage is broken down by total...(not resettable), trip, day, leg. The controls are not very intuitive, but after dicking with them along with the manual I can now reset or check anything while driving.
Normally to reset info for trip, day, leg you get to the screen and hold the toggle control left for 3 seconds to reset all info for that group including mileage.
Sorry I cant be more clear...I wish the control software was designed by Apple.

Thanks, printing it out, and I'll give it a try.

That worked for everything but the generator, which I am thinking may not be hooked up.
Thank you!

The dealer got back to me. He had confirmed with the factory that the generator is not hooked up at the dash.

It's a strange place to cut costs where features of the information center aren't connected and don't work. The computer is already there. Why not use it?
