Sightseer Drivers Seat
We have a "new to us" 2008 Winnebago Sightseer 35J. My question is should the drivers seat be able to swivel 180 degrees? If so how do you do it? My seat hits the steering wheel so swivel is 90 degress at best.

If it works like my Bounder , here's what I do. Put seat all the way forward , seat back forward as well , left armrest up and then swivel clockwise..

Try using the steering wheel tilt to adjust the wheel as far up as possible.

It wont turn all the way around on my 2004 Sightseer. At least not and be usable. If you tilt the seat back far enough it will swivel around but you couldn't sit in the seat.
It will turn far enough so as to be usable but not all the way around.

Keep playing with it, move the seat back and forward, lift up the arm rest and tilt the steering wheel. Been going through this process with several rigs and it seems they are all alike. I only do mine if I plan on staying awhile and/or expecting company.

Flanagan,
I have the same rig, the seat will swivel around but not all the way (as someone said here) It is still usable though, just do what Clifftall says and move the steering wheel as high as it goes.

I have a 2007 voyage 35L and mhy driver's seat will not make it a full 180 degrees either. I can get it a bit past 90 degrees and it is useable that way.

Slide all the way forward. When it comes around it will be away from the wheel.

Although moving it towards the dash before you start the swiveling process is counter intuitive I tried it and amazingly enough I could turn it pretty much all the way around.
Then with the seat back leaning as far back as possible, sitting in it wouldn't be real comfortable for me but sure might be for some people.

According to the operators manual it should be able to swivel around. Here's a link to the 2008 Sightseer manual on the Winnebago Website.
http://www.winnebagoind.com/resource...8Sightseer.pdf
Swiveling the drivers and passengers seats is on page 3-1

Raise the steering wheel full up, lower the power seat full down, move seat forward, lower the left arm rest, turn seat and make sure the arm rest goes under the wheel, once past the steering wheel move seat to desired faceing position and adjust back. this works for me.

The picture shows the controls needed to swivel the seat. Obviously if it doesn't have those controls it won't swivel.

We also have a 2008 35J and I can get the driver's seat to swivel about 60-70 degrees by tilting the steering wheel all the way up, lower the left armrest and make sure the seat is all the way back. If you forget the armrest the seat will only swivel about 45 degrees.
One thing I have not tried is doing all the above and tilting the seat back forward to clear the steering wheel. I was going to a couple weeks ago while traveling for spring break however never had a chance to swivel the chair since we moved from campground to campground as we toured all over FL. Might want to give that a try.
Since our tv is above the barrel chair this works fine. Also, I replaced the 19 inch tv above the chair with a 35" Jensen.

All models can swivel, the question is how far they can swivel. The manual says some models can swivel around to face the living area. To me that implies that some can't swivel that far.

I have a Sunstar and also did not think it would swivel until someone posted the secret. I have to push seat as far back as it will go and as I swivel the seat, I pull the lever to the seat bends forward to allow the armrest to clear the steering wheel. It works like magic!

Note the armrest must be down.
