Lights Flicker when water pump runs
2019 Vista 29VE
While boon-docking...
When you have the water running the lights flicker.
Anyone else have their interior lights flicker when the water pump is being used? Solutions?

Get better batteries? Charge them?

Usually a sign that the batteries are too low. Almost discharged.

Check the voltage--you should have a digital voltage readout on your monitor panel. Battery voltage is less than 12.2 volts, you need to charge--if not holding charge--new batteries. Then investigate why batteries have gone bad. Often if units sit on a dealer's display, the batteries are badly abused. I have seen "new" batteries shot from a month on the lot. Always get new batteries when you accept Delivary of any coach--even a new one, unless you saw it delivered.

Thanks everyone for your input and insight.
I will do a little more investigation with the batteries when we are camping next week.
Happy Thanksgiving Ya'll!

My lights flicker slightly as well when the pump cycles- it's not due to low charge or bad batteries. It's more noticeable when the converter isn't on (unplugged from shore power). I wouldn't worry about it- your coach looks almost brand new so the batteries should be no more than a year or so older than that. Make sure you're doing the maintenance.

Flickering
I have a '19 Forza. I hadn't noticed my lights flickering. I took it to the dealer for something else and he told me he noticed the lights flickering when the water pump was running. He had his tech install a diode or something somewhere. Now I notice the lights flickering; fully charged batteries. Go figure.

Might be worthwhile to give some thought to what type lights are flickering? LED may be getting some electrical interference from the motor and a bit of electronics like a coil might be a solution while the older incandescent will often go a bit dim if the battery level is a question.

It all depends on wiring assuming the batteries are fully charged and in good shape. Check your model of water pump and look for the rated amps draw @ 12VDC. Most of them will be somewhere between 10 and 15 amp draw. I mention this because your batteries may be in great shape but depending on the wiring of the coach a 15 amp draw will flicker the lights as the pump cycles and it is absolutely normal when boondocked.
Now "correcting" that perceived problem might be time consuming. Check all grounds, perhaps bonding together grounds. Check wiring length vs gauge and finally are the light runs on the same feed. Even if they are not dropping a 15 amp cyclic load on 12 volt batteries will produce a "bump" in voltage delivered as the pump cycles. Most new LED lights have buck circuits to deliver constant power to the light but less expensive bulbs will not. With incandescent bulbs this is not corrected and you will see them flicker as the water pump cycles.
In the end probably not worth worrying about but it might be worth checking the water pump wiring for proper gauge wire. It will become more noticeable as the battery is used in dry camp meaning as the SOC drops. Another thing LiFeP04 batteries should help.

So we had the rig out this weekend. Noticed that the lights flicker when the generator runs as well as when boon docking.
I checked the ground wires around the batteries and topped the batteries off with distilled water.
Looked for loose wires around the water pump.
I will try the lights and water pump tonite to see if we have made any headway
