You don't remove the bolts, as you loosen them...

You don't remove the bolts, as you loosen them the AC unit lowers to the level you need to have it in order to slide it out. At least that's the way it worked for me.

Pulling the AC unit seemed a bit intimidating before I did it but after reading other posts I pulled mine - didn't need help moving it out or back in. I think simpler than I initially thought it...
