I haven't driven extensively and the Allison techs suggusted to leave in economy, for that reason, ECONOMY,

Things are smoother, quieter and more fuel...

Always use the ECONO mode along with cruise control whenever. Using tem in unison, each computer, engine and tranny, tells it's component when to shift and how much fuel is needed....
