Often... but not always, the generator is setup to start off of the chassis batteries not the house batteries. I'm not sure on your Tour which it is.

I assume your Tour was not a US model...

It sounds like your chassis batteries (starting batteries) are dead as well because of needing the boost switch to start the generator.
