All motorhome issues mentioned are answered with a car in tow. Which you probably didn't have with a rental. And, these are the reasons most MH owners bring a Toad with them.

Land in and around Jackson is hugely expensive - which makes it difficult to operate a RV Park in the area.

There are of course campgrounds in the National Park - not all are First Come.
