The point was not telling him to install a 50 amp breaker bc he could exceed 30 amps. I agree that is unsafe and not a good practice. Rather the point was it shouldn't be the reason not to install...

Well I'd go with a 50 amp set up for the future. Most trailers have the ability to exceed 30 amps by the sheer presence of multiple 120v plug outlets in a trailer but the assumption is someone is not...
