I do not know how it would work with eternabond, but heat does work on other sticky materials. I have used a heat gun (similar to a hair dryer only hotter) on other materials that I want to scrape...

I should have said: Fiberglass is brittle and does not like very sharp or tight corners which a lot of the new front caps have. It is much better if the radius is larger.
