If you look closely you’ll see the plastic battery boxes are vented on top. They do fill with water unless you drill a few holes on the bottom for drainage.

This happened in my 2016 MicroMinnie as well. Winter snow accumulations on top of battery box, then melting, caused mine to fill with water. I simply removed both batteries and drilled a few drain...
