it's on the wiper post. Mine has a shaft that is flat & if it's loose allows the linkage to arc & gives excessive play to the system. that nut that is attached to your shaft on your linkage...

I had that problem & others with the wipers & I couldn't figure out what was wrong. I knew the motor had been replaced under warranty, but why would the (in my case passengers side) arc off...
