Also, read your manual about adjusting the string tension. Basically, take a couple loops of the bobbin until the blind will not stay up and then add loops until the blind stays in place.

Look in the phonebook for a window blind shop....

Look in the phonebook for a window blind shop. You certainly have one close. Cost will be about $30 to restring and they'll clean the blind also.
