I ran one wire down to feed the fan through the new switch. The cool thing is if you leave this switch On, the vent operates as it always did. close the lid and the fan shuts off since the plunger...

Finally reinforced the front generator door to its frame with a bead of 3M #5200, 700psi Marine Adhesive along the frame anywhere it contacts the fiberglass door. It won't come loose again..
