If a shop is going to replace the metal frame they should use stainless steel to prevent this from happening again. I use to be a shop foreman at a fab shop and a good welder can weld the stainless...

Sorry to hear. I had a leak start around windshield area and after removing molding from channel I noticed that there were some rust spots. The channel had to be removed and I used a rust inhibitor...
