No. The frame doesn't add any structure to the coach. Just holds the old tv. My finished product ties the two sides together better with no squeaks.

Carl all the screws are exposed on the plastic trim ring if memory serves me. Some on the bottom and sides. Then just pulls off.

I did my research for an outside tv next to a covered hot tub. LCD worked just fine when it was turned on 10 below zero. LED would of been even better (less warm up time) Just no plasma outside.

12 volt power was the easiest. It was already there but I liked the idea about being able to use it unplugged or without the genny running. I think I may replace the front TV with a 12v one as well...

The concern is for plasma tv's. I was placing a tv outside by a hot tub and plasma tv's will freeze. LCD and LED will not. Did the research years ago.

Only took a couple of hours and most of that time was waiting for the stain/poly to dry! Even has storage behind it. Colonial maple minwax stain seems to be the perfect match for that vintage...
