Photo album limits

It seems these days that photo albums are limited to only 6 photos? I'll just place my vote for a few more, but perhaps the feature was getting abused.

I like to produce a series of photos for installations and mods and these can easily get over 6 photos. Along the way I got tired of presenting the photos as attachments. Anyway, just my 2 cents.

I’m not aware of the limits in the settings. I don’t use the Album feature at all. But I just created a test album and it said I could upload up to 100 photos. See below.

Now as an Admin I may have different permissions than you, so create a new Album, then click on Add Photos a see what your “Pictures Remaining” permissions are.

Ah, I see. This is not a single album limit, but instead is a limit of 100 photos across all albums you have. Bummer...guess I'm down to zero.

I deleted a little album I didn't need and got 5 photo slots back. But then I used them up for the album I was just creating.

I found this feature worked real well for including photos inline with bb code vs adding as attachments at the end of a post. But this means if I delete albums I'll trash prior posts with broken links, so I'd better not do that.

I have no say in Album settings, but I will say attaching photos to posts is always the preferred method of including photos. Linked embedded photos hosted elsewhere are always at risk of disappearing years later down the road. It’s happened many times.
