New to the forum. I own a new 2020 Winnebago Boldt on a 2019 Sprinter chassis. I have been using the Sprinter ATT Hotspot in the Mercedes infotainment system which is great. It is powered by the chassis battery so it only works when the engine is on. The hotspot does not work when the sprinter engine is off. Is there any way I can configure the chassis battery to stay on to power the ATT hotspot when the engine is off?
Seems to me you don’t want to have any additional “parasitic” loads on your chassis battery. The “engine starting” battery should be used for just that. As I recall, those batteries aren’t designed for the constant use like the deep cell batteries used for the house (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deep-cycle_battery). Rather, try hooking it to the house battery. Wiring diagrams are found at https://winnebagoind.com/diagram/Wiring.htm .
