Our First Winnie is a Minnie!

We just snagged a super clean 2005 Minnie Winnie 31 (Ford Triton) with just 12,000 miles on the ODO! Looks almost new!

It's been a few years since we sold our Airstream Flying Cloud, and we're really looking forward to getting out on the road again. Cabin fever has set in deep!

This is our first Class C, we've always pulled trailers before. We started looking for an RV about 2 weeks ago, and because of the Covid situation , they are selling as fast as people put them on the market. Not easy to find right now. We had to scour Craigslist and RVT several times a day to be "first to call". I've never seen anything like it.

I'm sure hoping this Ford E/450 V-10 chassis is a good choice and can handle grades.

Find out soon. I'm having new tires put on it tomorrow morning before we even take it for a shake down cruise.
Cheers!

Congrats on your purchase and welcome to the forum. That is a solid chassis, and hope you enjoy getting on the road again. Take care!

I'm jealous. Our first trip is probably a few weeks off yet.

That will give you enough time to find and fix some bugs and make modifications to make the rig your own!

I don't think you will have a problem with the V-10. We have an E350 with a V-8. We run all over the mountains in Arizona and Colorado with no problem. We use to go by a Cat Scale before each trip to make sure we were not overweight. If your rig is not over weight and you are not trying to maintain 75 MPH up the hills you will do fine. We run 55 MPH up mountain passes and the engine and tranny are happy. Congrats on your purchase!
