No More Tents !
No More Tents !
We've always tent-camped and were slightly jealous of our friends who had the trailers and RVs to stay in.
Well, we finally did it. After years of talking about getting an RV, we finally decided to change the talk into action. We did our research. Decided what layout would be best for us and found a 2004 Winnie Chalet not to far from us.
It started life as an El Monte Rental then was bought in 2007 with 69K miles on the Ford V-10/5-speed.
We just bought it from this couple with 82K on the dial. Previous owners maintained it perfectly and added CB radio, blu-ray player and left it move-in ready. pretty much a fully furnished rolling home. The tires have only 1,000 miles on them. Not a flaw anywhere.
This won't stop my from sleeping under the stars in my hammock but it'll sure be nice not having to trudge across the campsites in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom.
And since we're close to retirement, we'll looking forward to loading the MinnieMobile up with the dogs and rolling over the road to Michigan to visit one of the kids.
Anyway, looking forward to years of enjoyment and comraderie on this forum.
