New RV'ers! 2108DS Minnie Winnie

Hi everyone... my husband, Norm and I have just purchased a 2108DS Minnie Winnie. She's wintering at the dealers and we'll buy a truck in February and go get her as soon as the weather permits. This is new to us and Norm is nervous. I'm just SO excited all day long and only get nervous as I'm trying to fall asleep... lol. Our plan is to do some practice camping around home and then, once we feel up to it, we plan to head north to the Beaufort Sea!!!! Trip #2 will be east to Newfoundland and the Maritimes. So excited... thanks for adding us to this group. Who knows, we may meet some day!

Congratulations NormnLonnie!

I'm sure you will enjoy your new Micro Minnie. We enjoy ours a lot.

Good to hear, Fred! We looked for a year and found it really difficult to choose what we wanted as neither of us have ever RV'd before! We waffled between camper vans and towables, and really wanted a camper van as we have a RAV4 hybrid that's just a year old and didn't want to have to trade it in. But now we're going to buy a Tacoma... just one question for you. Is the bed comfortable or did you buy a new mattress?

We may have considered replacing our mattress, it is a bit firm, but in our 2016 2106DS the bed is a fold-up bed not the current Murphy bed. Our mattress is hinged and folds in half on top of itself, it would be a custom replacement. We added this mattress topper to try and soften it up a little. It works for now but could be approved upon.
