New RVer with a Micro Minnie 2108DS
Hello all,
New to the group and to RV adventures. I just bought a 2021 Winnebago Micro Minnie 2108DS. Thanks for allowing me to join the group. I am Mitch and I live in Los Angeles area. Hope to find a Winnebago group out here!
I am sure I have a lot to learn. I do have one big trip to Iowa to go cycling the 50th RAGBRAI and also the WIT National Rally in Iowa since I will be there for RAGBRAI :-)

Mitch - Welcome aboard and congrats on the rig! Every time I make the run into L.A. by car I'm always impressed by folks - like you - that RV in and out of the L.A. area! Seems like L.A. now starts in Palm Springs and ends at the beach! Cheers and safe travels.

Hi Dat,
well maybe not Palm Springs but I know what you mean :-) Thanks for the welcome to the group. Looking forward to getting out and learning how my Minnie works. I have to say I have done a lot of motorcycling in TX and always enjoy TX hope to check it out more in the trailer as well.

Welcome Mitch. Lots of 2108 owners on the forum. You can find just about any info you might need. Just ask.
We are refugees from South Orange County. So, we know your pain.
We made the run back to the OC early this year, and refreshed our memories on all the good stuff and bad stuff about SoCal.
If you have a 2021, it’s likely you have a Dometic 12v compressor fridge. If it’s not a FLX, it will be impossible to dry camp with just the standard Marine Deep Cycle battery provided. Many of us have upgraded to better batteries and some solar. The Micro Minnie thread has lots of info. And you can always visit the albums that of owners that post them.
Have fun and keep the shiny side up.

Hi Jim,
No it has the Dometic I am guessing it is an 8 Cubic Foot Gas/Electric Refrigerator it was an option I guess you could get and the owners I got it from must of got that. It also has a 100 Watt Solar Panel on roof. It came with a Champion 2000 Gas/Propane gen as well so I am sure I have to get one more to join together to Run the AC. Looking forward to getting out soon to see how it all works and learn more. Thanks, Mitch

Mitch,
Lucky you have the absorption fridge, so you won’t have to upgrade the electrical system just to feed the fridge. You may want to first check the spec sheet for Micro-air Easy Start. I have a Champion 2500 that I run only on propane. Before Easy Start, no A/C. After installing the Easy Start, my generator easily runs the A/C. Easy install. Cheaper and lighter than carrying two generators. With a Champion 2000, you need to know it’s wattage output on propane, and then check against the A/C startup amperage requirement. The startup amperage will drop significantly with Easy Start, maybe enough that you can run on the 2000. There are many people running A/C on Honda 2000 with easy start, but the Honda on gas outputs more than the Champion 2000 on propane. But if the Champion doesn’t give you enough juice on propane, you could always run it gasoline and it’s output will be higher.
