New Retired member - 2021 Voyage 2831RB

Hello everyone. As an anniversary gift, we purchased a 2021 Voyage 2831RB and looking forward to visiting the country during our golden years. I am a retired paramedic and my wife is a retired nurse. We hope to meet new friends not only on the forum but at RV sites during our travels.

Welcome Medic,
Lots of good folks and valuable info on this forum. Tell us about your rig and your plans. I’ll plan to camp next to you....you do carry along a defibrillator don’t you?

Jim, Thank you. I have a 2021 31 foot Voyage. Two trips planned thus far. Visiting my sister at the Great Outdoors Family Campground in Lionsville PA in a few weeks. She has a seasonal site there. Planning a cross country trip in August from NJ to Boulder CO. I do want to plan a trip to Asheville, probably next season to visit Biltmore Estates.

There are several really nice campgrounds in the Asheville area. Unfortunately, I think you’re too long to camp in Blue Ridge Parkway campgrounds, but the Parkway a must see while in the area. We just spent a few days at Davidson River Natl Forest Campground just outside of Brevard, NC. Part of Pisgah Natl Forest. Books up early for the entire season. If you can get a space grab it. The CG is fabulous. If you like catch and release fly fishing, this is the ideal place for native species. Lots to see and do. Many hiking trails and waterfalls. About 45 min from Asheville. Electric hookups only. Nantahala Natl Forest also has some sweet CGs, but farther away from Asheville.

We are investigating a Winnebago 2529RG, but not happy with the recliners. Do you have two couches in your Voyage? If so, how long is the smaller couch, and does it also recline? Thank you!
