My name is Steve. My wife Judy and I have been camping (RVing) since the 1960’s. We have had almost every kind of RV except a 5th wheel. Never owned a truck that could toe one. We never had an RV with slide outs until now. We traded in our 31 ft. 2002, Dutchman class C for a 2000 35 ft. Winnebago Chieftain class A. It has 2 slides. Just learning about how to take good care of them. It’s a learning experience.
The inside of the Winnie is beautiful, however, the first thing I had to do is replace the entire break system. All the rotors , all pads and all calipers. Also, power steering pump. $2,800.00. Had some issues with the refrigerator and the air conditioning (basement air) and a few other small issues. The dealer took care of all that for us.
Since we moved from Rochester NY to Florida in 1986, the only place we go now is Fort Wilderness at Disney World. We started going there in 1972. 86 miles from home.
Looking foreword to using “Winnie Owners” to find out new thing about my RV and RVing in general.

Welcome to the brand-new Winnie Owners Community - we're all learning our way around the site after transitioning from IRV2. You may very likely be our go-to expert for 'all things Disney with an RV related.'

Best wishes and safe travels ...
