Kayak rack on back of Micro Minnie

Hello, I'm towing a 2019 1808 FBS with my 2020 Toyota Tundra. I have an 11 ft 6 inch kayak that I've been using a back bumper rack and for the most part it is very stable and works well. The only issue is that is sways and rocks quite a bit, in the past I've secured it to the ladder but it feels like the ladder is getting loose. I was thinking of installing securing points on the outside of the camper to simply put a bungee cord and slow down the swaying and rocking.

Does anyone have experience with this? Are the studs in the camper secure enough to do this?

VR,
Tony

The thing most of us don't realize is that rear bumper on any trailer moves around a tremendous amount on the back of a travel trailer going down the road. This movement can break bumpers, and equipment racks as you are towing.

Even if you find a place to secure it to you still run the risk of everything falling off the back of your trailer while driving.

Motorhomes don't move around as much on the back bumper, so mounting a Kayak on the back of a motorhome is safer than on the back of a travel trailer.

Can you put a kayak rack on the tow vehicle? That would be a vastly safer location to haul your kayak.

I think you're right, I'm going to switch to a truck rack. Thanks for the info
