A noobie about to buy - Minnie Winnie 26T

First, I must think you all for the incredible amount of useful information for pre and post purchase. We’ve been retired for about 2 years and our big plan was visiting all 50 states. We’ve been to most during our lives but, we thought we would start over. When we did the math for RV vs Hotel travel, we thought we would just do the hotel route. But then we remembered the wonderful time we had in the late 80’s when we rented a class c when we lived in So. Cal. Went to Yosemite and then out the backside of the park and then to Vegas and back.
Last week we visited a friend who owns a travel trailer and we had a wonderful time. We realized the journey was just as important as the destination and camp grounds are more pleasant than hotel lobbies or rooms.

We are pretty sure we will get the Minnie Winnie 26T. Perfect floor plan for the 2 of us. We can’t afford a new car so we will get a trolley and tow our little Kia Soul. I don’t know if we will do full time, but we will for sure do most of the time.

Wish us luck!

Safe travels and blessings!

First, welcome.
Second, sounds like a great plan.
Third, a smart move buying used then if you both enjoy camping enough then you can upgrade.

Actually, we plan on buying new on the RV. Keeping the old car. At our age, I suspect we might not be on the road long enough for a trade up. But... we’ll see.
