Good morning and welcome to a new set of friends! There are many Tour/Ellipse owners on this forum and on IRV2. You should also post on IRV2 to get a wider audience.

Perhaps the most significant issue in the 2013 - 15 coaches is the Schwintek slide system on the passenger side slides. Not all are affected but many have had the 'fixed' rail system replaced with a 'floating' rail system. Parts of the engine exhaust systems on some coaches were replaced under a recall. In addition - there have been about 3 - 4 recalls for various items - your dealer can search those using your VIN # or you can call Freightliner and Winnebago.

As with all coaches - take a close look at tires, batteries and check for tight lugs on the transfer switch. With the HD watch the front tire weights. A 4-corner weight with full fuel, fresh water and empty waste tanks will help with safe tire inflation numbers and give some indication of the ride height adjustment.

Best wishes for safe and fun travel!

Steve,

Thank you so much for the advice, we have decided to full time again and are upgrading to a 42HL with 19k miles on it. I'm still figuring out how to navigate this site so I can hone in on just the Grand Tour issues. Thanks again and Happy New Year.

I believe the Grand Tour has larger tires than the Tour/Ellipse 295 fronts and 275 rears - should make weight less concerning. Do post on IRV2 for more info.

Many of us use the Freightliner Service Center in Gaffney for engine / chassis PM - very knowledgeable techs / fair prices.
