I have a 2001 Itasca SunRise on a workhorse P20 chassis. When I start it up (with jacks rasied)it will beep when the transmission is in park. When I put it in drive the beeping stops. It dosn't matter whether I have the parking brake on or off, it just always beeps when in park. It didn't always do this started about 6 months ago. It's not the jacks they have a different alarm.

Mt antenna is fixed so it's not that. the only light on is the "auto park" light. but that was on before, I assume it has something to do with the auto park system but I don't know what.
If you are hearing the beep AND the autopark light is on, there may be a problem with the autopark system. Your chassis is actually a p-30/32. Does the light go out, along with the beeper when you shift to drive?? On some of the autopark systems it was normal for the warning beeper to sound when in park or any other gear when the autopark system is activated. On some of the older models the chassis manual states theat the buzzer when in park means it may be low on fluid or in need of adjustment. BTW, when you shift to park the brake is automatically activated (hence autopark) wether you set it manually or not.

Thanks for the reply, Went back to the rig today after about a month of down time. When I started it up no buzzer and the auto park light was on. After I drove and parked it, the auto park light was on along with the brake light and the buzzer was going off. I was in park, engine running. did not matter whether I had the parking brake on or off.
