I am going to make the change over to Transynd.
Can anyone recommend a Allison dealer in Northern California?

Since no one has answered, I suggest you start looking for a service dealer here:

I'd recommend these guys :

Golden Gate Truck Center
8200 Baldwin Street
Oakland, CA 94603

They're right off I-880.

Sacramento Truck Center in Sacto (just off I80...you can see it when eastbound from the freeway headed "across the top of town" as we locals say it)is an Allison and Freightliner service center. Sacramento Kenworth is an Allison service ctr. I've had PM work done at the Freightliner dealership and they're good people.

You didn't say where in Northern California, thats a pretty big place, bigger than some eastern states.

I would look in the local phone book and on Allison's website. There are so few of them, you will probably want to use the closest one.

In Portland, Or there were only 4 within 100 miles, and Allison directed me to one 20 miles away for Warranty work (2 were less than 9 miles away).
