Air Conditioner Intermittant in Sunstar 32M

We live in arizona. Our air conditioner when it's plugged in works good. So unless it's a 117°. When we are traveling, we turn on the generator and turn on the AC to try to keep it cool when it is in the 90's The problem is It's cool at first then turn warm. We had a class C for 21 years and would do the same thing, and it would stay cold. This motor home is only 2 years old. It's a 32m sun star. Does anyone else have this problem or something wrong?
Thanks at advance for your help.
