42 ft tag axle on display at GNR
Ellipse 42 ft tag axle, 400hp, enormous CCC, 3 roof top a/c's, aqua hot and more on display for first time and test rides start Monday. Looks real nice.

I was talking to the guy at the Customer Center yesterday and he said that the 3 roof ACs were because of some tag axle interference with the compartment normally used for the basement AC. I am not sure exactly what he meant.
He also said only two of the ACs will operate at one time.
I doubt if I will sign up to drive it but am interested in looking at it. Just curiosity of course - sure don't have the disposable dollars needed to buy one.

Sounds interesting. Unsure about how I feel about the roof air(s). Does it come with the 425 Cummins? Interested in the floor plan(s) to see what they can do with 42'.

Is that the Pucker brush parade? Looks interesting. When you get inside, let me know if they did away with day/night shades if you would. I saw 3 T's was driving a proto/test Ellipse that they weren't sure if it was going into production. But there was talk about getting rid of the day/night shades and going with auto shades.

Yes it is the Puckerbrush parade. Day night shades are gone. The windshield has one large shade, reminds me of the Tiffin Phaeton I was looking at. The tv in the side was also a Tiffin feature, really a good idea in my opinion
having it up high out of the storage area and easy to view with a group instead of looking around the heads of the people in front of you.

Does the 42' Ellipse have IFS or is it a straight axle? Also, is it side radiator or rear?
Appears they want to go head-to-head with the 42' Phaeton and not the Bus at this time. Wonder if they will offer a tag in the Vectra/Horizon?

No more Vectra? What replaces it at the top of the line?

The Tour/Ellipse are the top of the line now. This is nothing new. Every now and then they eliminate one or two lines as they revise things. Sometimes it is temporary as they go through a re-design.

Only 400 HP.. Stright Axle. Rear Radiator. Only 2 AC run at the same time. I think Winny needs to look at other high end products. Hope all works well.

Seems we're getting conflicting info on AC units. Product specialist for 42AD at Winnebago, who worked on the design confirms that on 10K generator or 50 amp service, all 3 units can be on. Only with 30 amp are you limited.
