Minnie Winnie 31G exhaust heat shield for air bags

Attention 31G owners I've had two air line blow outs right after the line comes out of air bag fitting. The first one was a few months ago the second was last weekend. It looks like Winnebago had a heat shield attached to the exhaust pipe were the pipe starts up over the axle and mine is gone. I made a temporary heat shield in front of the hose for my weekend trip and I would like to do something permanent now. Do I also need protection for the bag? I have a 90° fitting for the top of the airbag that would probably take care of the line. Any thoughts would help.
