Thanks again everyone for the replies.
We have a to do / upgrade list for the Adventurer along with many reservations for the spring and early summer.
We take it in January for the brake recall and we made a punch list of items that will be covered under warranty from when we purchased it.
How many people buy extended warranties? I think the quote was over $2,000 for a year or two. BTW, we did not get it.

We're in the same boat, just made a deposit on our 2005 Adventurer today. The tires only have 12K on them but are showing signs of age....little cracks. Should be a pricey replacement since they are 22.5 inch tires. Any suggestions how to save money on these? Also want to carry a spare.

Barb, tires is one area that you do not want to cut corners. You want to stay with a know manufacturer (Non-Chinese). On Motorhomes and trucks, I have have very good success with Bridgestone.
Another area to avoid cutting corners is on brakes. With out tires or brakes, you might as park it to stay safe.

We have an 02 35u and have enjoyed it very much. We have been looking at newer m/h's and are very disappointed in the floorplans compared to the 35u. The newer ones lack alot of storage compared to the older units and this includes some D-pushers. So even though we have 44000 miles we will keep it for a few more years.

We have had our 2003 33V since new, fulltimed in it for over a year and still love it. It is a great floor plan with the split bathroom . Also with the under 35 ft. you will fit in just about all State parks and National parks! no trouble parking!
Happy Camping.

That's what we're interested in. Which State Parks worked out for you? That's our dream. National too. Have you been to Yellowstone? What are the length limits in most of the places. What hookups do you usually get?

I see you live in Florida too.
We LOVE the Fl. State parks. For seniors residents they are such a great deal at 1/2 price! The reason some of the Fl. parks limit the length to 35 ft is that they were build by the Conservation Corps in the 1930 well before big rigs were around. This also holds for other parks around the country.
Often the sites are big enough but getting into one can be a problem with narrow roads and trees in the way. Also watch the space for enough room for the slide outs.. Again trees are sometimes where you do not want or expect them! I have watch some 5th wheels trying for an hour to get into a site and finally give up.
We have found very few limitations with the 33 ft Adventurer. It is a very good size to own!
You may want to consider towing a car since it takes very good planning to do without one and it gives you a great deal more flexibility in where you can go once you are at your campsite.
We are off to Hillsborough state park for the next week! It is beautiful there, hiking, biking kayaking etc. it is close to where you live.
Check ReserveAmerica.com for availability for all the FL state parks and much much more. For FL.you can reserve up to 11 months in advance.
Water/electric hook ups. dump when you leave. Just watch your gages or just check the tanks. FJ and Loves also have dump stations.
FJ now charges, Loves is still free. They are good places to fuel up since you will have enough room to get in and out. (most of the times!)
There will be a big rally in Brooksville next month. You can go as guest with out your rig and have fun at all the vendors booths.
I hope this has helped you. As you already know the RV community is always ready to help someone with advise!!

I love hearing all this. We know nothing about parks and campsites anymore. How old do you have to be for the discount? 62 or 65?
What kind of rally are you talking about in Brooksville?

FMCA (Family Motor Coach Association) Febr. 2-6
Details on FMCA SE Rally- Go Western At Sea in Brooksville, FL - 8459 - Good Sam Club
Always full with info. It is good to attend "classes" to learn more about things in your rig like generators, refrigerators etc. Like I mentioned before there are also lots of vendors! happy shopping.
I'm not sure about FL discount. I believe it is 65. I think you should be able to pick up the great booklet with all the FL state parks in Brooksville. Call one of them, they can tell you for sure. Also the ReserveAmerica website should have the info.
For the National parks there is a Senior Pass at 62 that gives 1/2 price for most campings in Nat. Parks, BLM land and Corps of engineers and special pricing to properties like the Fort in St Augustine.
Good Sam and FMCA have the road side assistance for towing the MH. You may not need it much but when you need it you really do and are glad you have the coverage. AAA is limited on mileage.
Lots more good stuff to share...Talking to other campers will also give you good info.
