I finally gave up on a new one. Welding shop charged $20 to weld it. Now I am waiting for the quicktike coupler that I wanted to replace while I had it out. I ordered a 3,4 inch coupler, but when I got it it measured 1 inch inside. I called the company and they said if you want it to measure 3/4 inside i need a 1/2 inch. They are sending it out free of charge and told me keep the first one. Also sent me a link to pipe sizing. I never new that that plastic and copper fittings measured different.

And, steel/iron pipe measures differently too.
