Angry 2019 roof with cracks

We live and bought our new class A in Sacramento the dealership sent us to a body shop to have the cracks on the roof fixed, they will not fix it they say it’s a structural problem. Went back to dealership and they told us we need to contact Winnebago, waiting to hear from them. Anyone else having this problem.

Yes, I recently found cracks along the edges of my roof cap, both sides. Mine is 18 months old, 2018 vista 32ye. I took photos and will be asking Winnebago for an opinion on the cause. So far these cracks aren’t leaking.

Winnebago had a recall on cracks in the filon roof panel radius curves going into the sidewalls a few years ago on Vistas. The fix on the recall was applying color matched Eternabond Tape down both sides over the curves covering and sealing the cracks.

I suspect they will not remove and replace the filon roof panels but will have dealer do a similar repair on your RV once Winnebago receives photos from the dealer agrees there is a problem and directs the dealer how to proceed.

Yesterday we sent Winnebago an email, today we received an email back it states- We are sorry for the issue you are having with your Vista. Your dealership should be working directly with our tech support to resolve this issue for you.
We called the RV dealership garage, waiting to get the run around.

I would hate the thought of your new MH having to go back to Iowa for a factory repair. It will be gone for quite awhile.

If the crack is along the edge in what kind of looks like a gutter, that is where the roof meets the side wall then look at this video:

For the pertinent details slide the video out to about minutes 5 & then minute 9.
