Renewing the Awning's Waterproofing?

I think it's time to waterproof the awning on our 2014 Vista. You can't sit outside and enjoy the rain, there is a mist now that comes through the fabric. Has anyone applied waterproofing? If so, how and what kind? Thanks in advance.

Hi Debbie and Neil,
I used Thompson's Water Seal on an old canvas tent, and it worked wonderfully.
