changing slide out awnings on 2011 Via 25Q

My wife and I recently changed the slide-out awnings on our 2011 Via 25Q. It wasn't as hard as we expected, but winding them back took some effort. You definitely need 2 people and 2 sturdy ladders. I watched a few YouTube videos first, and some indicated that you could pin the reels in place with an allen wrench (or something similar). However, we could not see how that would work on ours. Instead, I didn't remove the "anti-bellowing device" and clamped it in place with a vice-grip. We were able to just buy 1 roll of 140" wide cloth and cut it into the 61 3/8" and 71 3/8" wide covers needed.

My wife and I changed ours, the allen wrench (or something similar) goes into a hole on the front end of the roller that locks it in place.
You are absolutely correct, it took both of us.
