Moab to Silverton Route Advice?

Looking for advice on best route Moab, Utah to Silverton, Colorado. 36’ gasser pulling toad. My RV safe gps takes me to Silverton from the north on 550. Looking at online posts it looks like 550 from the south is a better approach. Any input would be appreciated.

If it was me in your rig I would definitely come up from the south out of Durango. You can cut over towards Cortez and come in that way. Much easier pull.

did not go to Silverton, but this is the route we took from Durango to Moab - really nice safe drive, You would be doing the opposite:
160 to Cortez, then 491 to 191
