Interested in the "why"(?).

The Viair that we would need (22.5" rims) is at least the 150PSI, 1.8 CFM type...like the 450P. They start at over $250 plus tax/shipping.

There's 2 schools of thought...

A heavy duty 12volt compressor like a Viair.
A home unit (110volt) like Porter-Cable or many others.

Either works for RV's with a generator.
