Actually, I believe that they started installing them at the factory in 04 or 05.

If you are only seeing 12.6 on you need to make sure that the charger is on.

I believe that your unit has the TrikLStart installed, in which case both are charged. Best way to check is to look at the voltage on the batteries. Voltage should be at least 13.2 if they are...
