Mine is not a one piece dip stick, it is a metal wire with yellow plastic depth gauge glued onto the end. I had just added the correct amt of oil yet the sticked showed over fill, what had happened...

Checking oil in 05 journey 7500 Onan genset, when I pulled the dip stick out the 4" yellow tip just fell off on the ground. It is just glued on. I used JB weld and glued it back but not sure if I...
