Noisy Bathroom Fan
Our 2016 Sunstar LX 27N has three wonderful vent fans throughout the coach that are very quiet, yet the bathroom vent would wake the dead . Is there a replacement fan motor that is quieter that doesn't require replacing the entire vent assembly?

Is it a MaxxAir fan or the simple 12v fan? I ask because mine is the simple 12v and had been quiet until I used one of the vent cushions to blow CO heat. It pressed the screen up and made it contact the fan. I had to drop the housing and add a spacer to create space between the fan and the screen.

It's just a small 12v motor fan with black blades. The screen is not touching it but it sounds like a toy motor on steroids. I was thinking of putting in a computer fan, but not sure if that would pull enough air.

Had the same problem as birchy boy and put up with it until I got on Amazon and ordered a replacement fan blade and pressed on the motor shaft. Was amazed at the difference in the sound. Easy Peasy!

I think I'm going to replace the whole fan motor with one of these... https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00J0NZF...v_ov_lig_dp_it
Should be easy to mount and hookup.

If it is the normal small fandthat mfgs install replace it with a Fantastic Fan or a Maxxair. Both draw a lot of air and are super quiet.

The fan is installed. It's pretty large and was causing me headaches trying to figure out a way to mount it. Finally decided that since it makes NO noise and doesn't cause any vibration, why not just hot glue it to the screen, which is what I did. As I said, this fan makes no noise (said the guy with hearing aids) but it is really quiet. The specs say it moves 126 cubic feet of air every minute, so it should clear out any steam or smellies pretty fast. Here's a picture of the installed fan. See my link above for the fan on Amazon.

I have the same problem in my 2003 Itasca Sunrise 36M. The fan is touching the screen. Video is here. https://youtu.be/4VJlSr7XZ6A
I'mm try the same replacement fan you got.

The replacement fan works well and is very quiet. Video is here. https://youtu.be/ot6KBmXRwIE
I mounted it with self-tapping screws to the crossmember that the original fan was mounted on. The replacement fan is clear which my other half wanted, but it had blue LEDs which I cut the wires to because it was a bit too far out.
Original fan motor is rated at 1.65 amps. The replacement is rated at 0.23 amps.

Ours is noisy as well. It does not seem to have a brand name that I can find (took closeup photo to try and find a name).
From what I am reading, it is not advisable to try to oil or lubricate the fan, but to either put in a spacer or replace the motor. I would Love to put in a Fantastic fan, but the budget says otherwise.
