Fuel door locks

I would like to get rid of my locking fuel door capability on my 2005 Itasca Meridian 39F. What have others done for new hardware/knobs in place of the lock set?

I just hung a key that fits that lock under the fender and just forward of the fuel door. That way nobody can pour anything in your fuel tank, yet it's still very easily accessed.

I'll trade you my non locking for your locking. Been wanting a lock on mine.

Why do you want to remove the locks? I would never do it. Some bored kid or someone upset with you for real or imagined reasons could easily destroy your engine by pouring things in there "just for fun".

The suggestion to simply hide a key nearby is a good one.

Our 2001 and 2013 Adventurers came with the non-locking door as posted by Tomtall. In both cases I went to the local hardware store and purchased a similar sized keyed mail box lock. It took about 10 minutes to change it out.
